
Susanna Laurin is Chair of the Funka Foundation and an internationally recognized expert in digital accessibility, inclusion, and e-government, with more than 20 years of experience in the field. She chairs the ETSI/CEN/CENELEC Joint Technical Body on eAccessibility, responsible for the development and update of the European accessibility standard EN 301 549. She is also a co-founder and EU Representative of the International Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP) and EU Representative for the UN initiative G3ict. As a person with visual impairment herself, she combines extensive professional expertise with lived experience of accessibility.
At DIGIN 2026, Susanna will deliver the invited lecture “From Ambition to Action – Navigating the EU Accessibility Landscape”, addressing the rapidly evolving European accessibility landscape, from legislation and standards to AI and assistive technologies. Her talk will offer practical recommendations, best practices, and tools for turning accessibility requirements into effective action.
